Problem for us is that twitter is blocked at school. Wonder how the rest of you manage to have it 'unfiltered'? Our filtering is done at LA level which is very frustrating!

Hi cheergalsal - I know that this solution may not be great for everyone, but I get around the school and LA filters by using a mobile broadband dongle (great for my commute to work also) and by using my phone to show pupils tweets.

Sometimes it is possible to get bans lifted for certain projects if you have a chat to your LA contact.

We have been warned not to use dongles at work. My trainee had one and was hammered for using it! Will try and contact LA again. Took 6 months to get them to unfilter my blog!

Sally - almost certainly your school can unfilter anything at local level, despite what you might otherwise be told.
